Sino Gulf Energy Enterprises (SGEE) was established as a Joint Venture Company with the local Gulf Energy Corporation LLC (GEC) holding 60% shares and ChinaPetroleum Technology and Development Corporation (CPTDC) holding the balance 40% shares. GEC is a wholly owned Omani company established to provideservices to the Oil & Gas industry in Oman and the rest of Arabian Gulf region. GEC is managed by a team of Omanis who possess vast experience in the industry.In August 2006, GEC increased their share in SGEE to 95% and consequently the share of CPTDC was reduced to 5%. Oman Investment Corporation (“OIC”) holds 60% interest in GEC.

SGEE also offers drill string product, and machining service needed to complete any type of oil/gas well requested by its customers and also operate a major shipping contracts and global commercial partnerships. The company has developed world-class offshore and onshore facilities for the extraction, processing, liquefaction and storage of gas in Oman.
Its primary products are petroleum Diesel for overseas export, for which it has a total production capacity of approximately 37 million tons per annual.
For pipeline sales gas to the domestic market, Sino Gulf Energy Enterprises also operates the Al Khaleej Gas Projects, AKG-1 and AKG-2 supplying approximately 2.0 billion standard cubic feet (Bscf) per day.

A team of Omani employees of Sino Gulf Energy Enterprises (SGEE) gained a deeper insight into practical aspects of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) ,Diesel oil and Goods Shipping business during a two-month engineering and project management training programme in Yokohama, Japan, recently.

Sino Gulf Energy Enterprises (SGEE) has sealed a landmark 15-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla).
According to the deal, Sino Gulf Energy Enterprises (SGEE) will supply 2.5 million tonnes of LNG per annual for 15 years, to Petronella's floating storage and reclassification unit (FSRU), located near Moheshkhali Island, Bangladesh, a press release said on Monday. The deal also marks Sino Gulf Energy Enterprises (SGEE) first long-term contract delivery to FSRU.
